Sj's Little Musings Friday Freebie.

Sadly this is my last project as guest CT for Little Musings, i would have loved to stay on as a full time member, but i have other DT commitments and there's just not enough hours in the day, or days in the week. I can't believe how quickly that month flew by.
Thank you  Sj for inviting me to join your team and allowing me do a guest month for you, i have enjoyed every minute.
Anyway here's my card featuring this weeks Friday freebie Elenor. You can read all about her and grab the download for yourself here. I have coloured the bed, Elenor and her teddy bear using my Promarkers, but the bedding is paper pieced.

Thursday already!

Where did the rest of the week go?, come to think of it, where did April go?

For this card i have used the Pony Pals digital stamp from Squiggles Stamps, which is available to purchase here for the bargain price of just £1.99.
This cute image reminds me of when i was a small girl, i longed so much for a puppy and would drag a huge teddy (bigger than me) everywhere by the skipping rope i had tied around his neck. I guess this little girl longs for a pony. I eventually got my wish when i was five, when my Dad bought home a cute bundle of fluff for me, i hope this little girls dreams come true too.
Just a little reminder,  tomorrow is the last day to enter this months Squiggles challenge. There are very few entries so far, so the odds of winning are very good.

All the papers i used on this card are from  DCVW Green Stack.

There are some fabulous prizes too.

I have made this recessed window card for the challenge.

SJ's Little Musings Friday Freebie.

Happy St George's Day
I can't believe it's Friday again, we have a very busy weekend here this week.Tonight we're off to my Uncles wedding reception, as a special birthday treat for our foster child tomorrow, we're going to the cinema to see How to train your dragon, followed by eats at Frankie and Benny's, (yum), then on Sunday the boys are marching with the Cubs and Scouts in the St Georges day parade.
Anyway onto this weeks Friday Freebie from SJ. This week i made this topper for a magic birthday treat bag. The sentiment was a digi freebie which i saved on my laptop but didn't name, so i don't know where it came from, if you know, please let me know so i can give credit.

You can meet Alfonzo and read his bio here.

A Very Merry Unbirthday

I don't usually do two posts in one day but couldn't wait to tell you about Sj's latest release.
There seems to be Alice inspired images everywhere at the moment, and the latest Buy it now Sj's-Little Musings set is just that. I really enjoyed colouring this Alice tea party image and making this 'Unbirthday' card with it. The sentiment is a freebie from Tlc Creations.

Sail boat

This seems like the only way to travel in and out of Europe at the moment. The volcanic ash cloud is still disrupting air traffic, which has effected thousands of travellers. My parents and grandparents were due to fly to Turkey on Saturday, but were unable to go.
Regina at The Cutting Cafe' has just released some fabulous printable stamp sets and templates, including this cute Sail boat shaped card template.

SJ's Little Musings Friday Freebie.

When this weeks freebie from SJ landed in my inbox, my first thoughts were, 'what a fun image'. I knew straight away what i was going to do with it.
So i printed her out, coloured her with my Promarkers, cut her out, and stuck her on a slim note book which i had covered with American Crafts paper. She also comes as a conventional OAP, but i just love her as a punk.

You can  read all about Merris and grab the freebie here.

Monster Mash

Hi everyone, it's a gorgeous sunny morning here on the East coast of Suffolk , although a little breezy.

This  week i have made this  simple door hanger. Like most 8 year old boys, our foster child is into everything monster related, and thinks monsters lurk everywhere, especially in his bedroom. So i have made him this door hanger to instruct those pesky monsters to 'keep out' of his room. I have used one of the monsters from the Monster Mash digital stamp set, which is also available as a rubber stamps set too.

Don't forget there's still plenty of time to enter the Squiggle stamps challenge this month!!!

Passion for Promarkers challenge #47

This weeks challenge at PfP is set by Ida, and she would like to see you 'Make the background of your card with Promarkers'.
For my DT sample i've embossed a piece of white card using the Roses Cuttlebug folder, then coloured the embossed roses. Then i created a gingham effect mat using Dusky Rose by  drawing lines with the chisel tip, first in one direction, then the other, you then get a darker colour where the two lines cross. I really liked the result, so will definitely be using that method again. I also made the rose with card embossed with the Swiss Dot folder, and coloured the dots too.
The image i've used is Willow with flowers by Whiff of Joy.

This weeks prize is a pack of 5 Promarkers donated by Letraset.

Friday Freebie

Happy Friday everyone!
It's my second week as guest creative team member for Sj's Little Musings, and i just loved colouring this weeks image with my Promarkers. These two guys certainly look a handful don't they?  You can read all about them and download the freebie for yourself here.

Don't forget the weekend workshop Digi Friday over on Passion for Promarkers, just leave a comment on this weeks workshop post for the chance to win this weeks prize from Pollycraft.

Toot Toot

I'm shocked it's Thursday already, i'm struggling to get enough crafting done this week, as the boys are on school holidays until the 20th, and i'm still not feeling 100% myself after being poorly since Saturday.

I believe sometimes less is more, so with that in mind i have made this really simple card using my Cricut and Cricut Design Studio. I printed out one of the Lilliput digital images, this one is called Toot Toot, and as it's digi, i could print it out just the size i wanted to fit on the card. I coloured the image with my Promarkers, and cut it out before sticking it to the card. Our foster child is eight at the end of the month, so this card will be for him.
Check out the Squiggle Stamps blog, if you want to download my cut.file.

Don't forget to enter the Squiggle Stamps April prize challenge, there's a great prize up for grabs.

Passion for Promarkers challenge #46

This weeks PfP challenge is set by Emma, she would like to see your card/project based on the theme, 'The young ones', (i.e. something for the kids). For my example i made a cute little milk carton and filled it with milk bottle sweets. What kiddie doesn't like sweets eh? The image i used is a digi download Claudia Cow from Digital Delights.
This weeks sponcor is Sugar Nellie Stamps and the lucky winner will receive 2 stamps (Purrfect playmates and come fly with me).

Friday 2 April 2010

Happy Good Friday!!!

We all slept in here this morning, i love the weekends, and when they are four days long, that's even better!!!

I was thrilled when Sj of Little Musings asked me if i would join her creative team, but unfortunately i really can't commit to any more full time positions right now. But i'm delighted to be the guest designer for April.
On this card  i have used this weeks freebie, Dress-up Annie.  She comes with a great set of clothes, so i had real trouble choosing just what she was going to wear, so i went with the casual look. She has a lovely pair of jeans, but also has great legs, so thought i'd put her in a little skirt to show them off. Please go and check out what the talented CT has done with her and go grab her for yourself over here.

As April is my birthday month, i volunteered to set this months Squiggle Stamps challenge, so i have made a sketch for you all to follow.

Here's the card i made from the sketch, using the cute image  Brolly Girl digital stamp.
The sentiment is part of the Rain, rain, go away printable stamp set form The Cutting Cafe'.

Check out the Squiggle Stamps blog for full details of this months challenge.
